Khun Kao Promotions is proud to announce the next  “DC Metro Showdown” event, scheduled for Saturday, June 28, 2008 at the Sports Center at the National Conference Center in Lansdowne, VA (Leesburg, VA on some maps).  The  “DC Metro Showdown”  is the premier amateur Muay Thai event in the mid-Atlantic, being the first and only event to offer  FULL RULES Muay Thai fighting in the State of Virginia (amateur OR professional!)  Elbow and Knee strikes to the head are permitted!  Muay Thai officials adhere to the standards set forth by  the World Muay Thai Council (WMC).  It will be featuring novice MMA bouts as well!  Novice MMA matches are available to those amateur fighters with 3 or fewer MMA matches, and our matches are officiated following the  Nevada Unified Rules of MMA.
