The Combat Sports League’s ( CSL ) – “Combat Sports Challenge" live fight event announces plans to expand the Richmond , VA  -based show to multiple venues in 2008. With the shows popularity and diverse appeal, the CSC promoters will be utilizing a variety of venue types and sizes. The larger convention type settings will continue to be used for events that include daytime novice matches and nighttime fight shows or for Mission Submission, the league’s own brand of submission grappling tournaments or their once-a-year 2-day North American  Championships.

On February 23rd and March 15th the CSL ’s Combat Sports Challenge will debut at “Toad’s Place”, Richmond ’s premiere concert venue. The venue is located in the Richmond ’s established entertainment district and back-dropped by the historic Canal Walk.

In 2007, the CSL began airing a show ( CSL PURE FIGHT) on regional FOX TV and My Network TV. The half hour (1/2) show aired on FOX TV Saturdays at  3:30 PM following ACC Football and on MyTV at 11:00PM following UFC : Wired.

" CSL PURE FIGHT" TV shows featured the rising stars of MMA , Muay Thai and Boxing from the top fight shows throughout the country. The shows Producers (Sucker Punch Entertainment) and promoters of Combat Sports Challenge feel the set up at “Toad’s Place” will give both the live event and TV show a “Hard Rock Café” feel and look for filming the TV show’s 2008 episodes. The 2008 airing date and  schedule will be announced in February. CSL is fast becoming the premier farm league for all forms of combative sports. CSL Pure fight will bring a new flavor to the ever growing combat sports world by airing multiple ring sport disciplines from promotions across the country.
